Have you obtained the right to work in the UK?

Have you gained experience as a carer for more than 1 year?

Have you obtained a DBS and up-to-date training certificates, or are you willing to pay for your mandatory training? All additional training on dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease will be covered by The Mayf.

Are you willing to work hourly, nightly and live-in shifts?
​

Are you confident in providing care to those living with dementia and personal care?
​

Are you patient, kind and considerate? A lot of what one does as a carer, requires empathy to place yourself in the position of the client.

Are you prepared to go above and beyond for our clients, complying with our company philosophy?
​

Are you resilient? This role presents challenges of various forms and requires a significant level of stamina.

Do you exercise integrity and discretion?

Are you willing to engage in activities and social events with clients?
​

Are you willing to travel with the client, both locally and abroad?
​

Are you able to run and maintain a home without the assistance of a housekeeper?
​

Are you physically able to manage daily tasks, such as assisting with mobility and transfers or domestic housework?
​

Do you have competent cooking skills? If so, are you willing to prepare meals outside of your usual recipes?

Are you happy to live in an environment with pets?
​

A driving license is desirable for your convenience, though it is not compulsory to be a carer with The Mayf.
